Dow Automotive has won a PACE (Premier Automotive Supplier’s Contribution to Excellence) Award from Automotive News for IMPAXX™ energy management foam. One of the automotive industry’s highest global honors, the PACE Awards recognize innovation among suppliers who contribute products, processes, materials or services directly to the companies that manufacture cars and/or trucks. More than 250 entries competed this year for the eight PACE Awards.
IMPAXX foam, which improves vehicle safety, has also been named an innovation winner by judges for the 2007 R&D 100 and the 2007 Professional MotorSport World Expo in Germany. The product is currently on the road in more than two million passenger vehicles and has been an integral part of NASCAR’s safety-focused Car of Tomorrow.
This is the third consecutive year that Dow Automotive solutions have been recognized by the PACE judges. Other finalists and winners have included BETASEAL™ Uni-wipe, BETAMATE™ low energy substrate adhesive (LESA) and blow molded seatback technology.
