Terruzzi Named Business VP for Specialty Plastics & Elastomers

Midland, MI - December 12, 2005

Flavio Terruzzi, president and CEO of Equipolymers BV, a joint venture between Dow and Petrochemical Industry Corporation (PIC), Kuwait, has been named business vice president for Specialty Plastics and Elastomers.

Flavio assumes this role from Julie Fasone Holder, who was recently named corporate vice president, responsible for Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, and Public Affairs, and a member of the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE).

Flavio will report to Romeo Kreinberg, executive vice president, Performance Plastics and Chemicals Portfolio. He will begin the transition to this new role immediately and will relocate to Midland.

In his 20 years with Dow, Flavio has served in different businesses covering a variety of positions including sales, marketing, product, assets and general management.

Flavio joined Dow in Milan in 1984 as field salesman for solvents. He was named regional commercial director for Epoxy Resins in 1988 and Milan sales director in 1990. He moved to Horgen in 1992 as product manager for Polyols and assumed the role of business director for Polyurethanes in 1994. In 1996, he became the global business director for PET/PTA and president and managing director of INCA International S.p.A.

He is also currently the country manager for Dow Italy.

Flavio obtained an MBA from the Scuola di Direzione Aziendale, Universita L. Bocconi in Milan, Italy in 1991.
