Dow announced today the election of John B. Hess, chairman and chief executive officer of Hess Corporation, to the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Hess Corporation is a global integrated energy company engaged in the exploration for and production and sale of crude oil and natural gas, as well as the production and sale of refined petroleum products.
Mr. Hess brings to Dow a strong background in the global oil and gas industry, with 28 years at Hess Corporation. He has been chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Hess Corporation since 1995.
