Roberts Named Energy Business Development Director, The Dow Chemical Company

Houston, TX - December 14, 2006

Darryl Rogers has been named energy business director for The Dow Chemical Company’s Freeport Texas Operations site.  In this role, Darryl will be responsible for overall LNG business management and will lead the identification and development of new LNG business opportunities via the Freeport LNG terminal.

Prior to assuming his new position, Rogers was senior commercial manager for Freeport, Texas Operations Energy, Michigan Operations Energy, and US Gulf Coast Hydrogen and Industrial Gases for Dow.  He will transition his commercial management responsibilities for Michigan Operations to George Kehler, who will add this to his responsibilities as commercial manager for North American small sites’ power and steam needs and renewable/alternative energy.

Rogers has held a variety of roles within Dow since he joined the company as a chemical engineer in Plaquemine, Louisiana. in January 1991. He relocated to Houston, Texas in July 1997 when he was made North American business analyst for the Hydrocarbons and Energy business. In February 2001, Rogers was promoted to finance manager and global business analyst for Dow’s energy business and in May 2002, he assumed the role of commercial manager for Industrial Gases in North America.  He was promoted to his most recent role in May 2004.

Rogers earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, North Carolina, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina. He received an MBA from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
