The Dow Chemical Company’s Julie Fasone Holder Recognized as NAFE’s Woman of Achievement

Midland, MI - January 25, 2007

Julie Fasone Holder, Dow Chemical Company’s Corporate Vice President of Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion and Public Affairs has been honored as a 2007 recipient of the Woman of Achievement award by The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE).  She was recognized during NAFE’s annual conference on January 24 in Dana Point, California.  Ms. Fasone Holder and the other four winners of this year’s award will be profiled in the fall 2007 issue of NAFE magazine.

Each year, NAFE honors five of its members who have “attained a high rank at her company and has utilized her position, stature and expertise to break down gender bias and effect positive change for women.”  From her involvement as a founding member of Dow’s Women’s Innovation Network, to her focus on developing people who she has worked with, as well as her commitment to the company’s diversity and inclusion programs, Fasone Holder was nominated by her colleagues for her steadfast desire to strengthen and enhance Dow’s culture.

“I’d like to congratulate Julie on receiving this well-deserved award,” said Dow CEO and chairman Andrew Liveris. “Julie has demonstrated great vision and leadership throughout her career at Dow and has made it her responsibility to ensure that our company is a place where women and men alike have the opportunity to advance their careers.”

For these same reasons, Fasone Holder was also highlighted in the November/ December 2006 issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal as one of their “Women Worth Watching in 2007.”
