Dow Employees Provide Support for Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

Louisiana - September 16, 2005

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, many Dow employees are offering their hands and their hearts towards many relief efforts throughout the community - volunteering their personal time in shelters, sharing their home with displaced families, and taking part in donation drives to help evacuees.

Following the storm, Dow employees launched a site-wide effort to collect needed items for five area shelters in Assumption, Iberville and West Baton Rouge parishes.

"In just one week, employees donated more than 100 boxes of needed supplies," said the Dow Louisiana Operations site leader. "We hope this on-going effort will help sustain these shelters, which are providing comfort and support for evacuees who have lost a great deal."
