Sarnia, ON - March 19, 2007

Glen Mutscher, Operations Director for Dow’s Sarnia site, announced today his relocation from Dow Canada to a new role in Midland, Michigan effective May, 2007. 

Replacing Mutscher at Dow’s Sarnia operations will be Don Fysh, currently the Maintenance and Work Processes Leader at Dow’s Prentiss, Alberta site. Fysh will begin to transition to the role immediately and will be responsible for overseeing the safe, secure and reliable operation of Dow’s Sarnia assets as operations are ceased on site.  Don will manage the safe wind-down of manufacturing operations, demolition of facilities, restoration of the site and establishment of long-term restoration plans.  He will also represent the site and the company to the local community and local government agencies.   

Mutscher has been the Sarnia Site leader since July, 2004 as well as the Production Leader at the  Polystyrene Plant in Sarnia. The Polystyrene unit closed in December, 2006 and is currently being decommissioned in preparation for the eventual winding up of site operations in Sarnia. During his time as site leader Mutscher represented Dow on the Sarnia-Lambton Environmental Association and CAER organizations.
