The Dow Chemical Company Announces New Plastics Distributor in US and Canada
Channel Prime Alliance named authorized distributor of NORDEL™ Hydrocarbon Rubber

Midland, MI - December 19, 2005

The Dow Chemical Company (TDCC) announced today that Channel Prime Alliance will become an authorized distributor of NORDEL™ hydrocarbon rubber for TDCC and Dow Chemical Canada Inc. in the US and Canada effective January 1, 2006. This authorization expands the relationship with Channel Prime Alliance, which is already a distributor of Dow's specialty and base plastics in the United States and Canada.

"Distribution is a critical element of our business model," said Mike Ginn, North American Sales Director, Distribution & Channels for Plastics at TDCC. "We're looking to parlay the excellent experience we've had with Channel Prime Alliance for other Dow specialty and base plastics products. We are confident they will deliver the same high level of customer service and expertise to Dow's Nordel hydrocarbon rubber customers in the US and Canada."
