Effective November 15, 2005, The Dow Chemical Company and Dow Chemical Canada Inc. will raise prices on the following specialty elastomer products:

• ENGAGE™ Polyolefin Elastomers in North America by US $0.10/lb.
   
• AFFINITY™ Polyolefin Plastomers in North America by US $0.07/lb.
   
• FLEXOMER™ Very Low Density Polyethylene by US $.10/lb (These resins include the elastomeric range of Flexomer VLDP resins of .905 density and below).

"These price increases are a result of continued strong and escalating costs for feedstocks and energy," said Bart Bowser, North American Product Director for Dow Performance Elastomers & Plastomers. "Dow is taking this pricing action to restore margins to acceptable levels and ensure that it can meet customer needs in the long term."
