Reacquiring its product assets from the DuPont Dow Elastomers joint venture in 2005 also provided Dow with two strong additions to its portfolio of products for the rubber industry – NORDEL™ IP and NORDEL™ MG Hydrocarbon Rubbers, and TYRIN™ Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) resins.

The latest example of Dow’s product innovation is NORDEL™ MG NDR 46100.00 Hydrocarbon Rubber. Introduced today at the ACS Rubber Mini-Expo, this product is a low-ethylene, medium-ethylidene-norbornene (ENB), high-viscosity grade. These characteristics make the new product ideal for peroxide-cured building profiles, hoses, bicycle tire tread, automotive weatherstrip and other rubber products that require superior performance in low temperatures.
