Dow Europe GmbH announced Force Majeure for its polypropylene resins produced in its Wesseling, Germany plant on November 7th, 2006.
This situation is due to an unexpected mechanical failure which has forced us to shut down the plant. Dow is using all reasonable means to overcome this situation and restart production as soon as possible in a safe and reasonable manner. We have a multi-disciplinary multinational team working diligently to minimize the impact on our customers and to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
