Dow Increases Prices of Latex Products for Carpet in North America
Effective September 11, 2006, the Dow Carpet Latex business is increasing the prices of all styrene butadiene (S/B) latex and acrylic latex products sold into the carpet industry by US$0.04/lb (dry) in the United States and Canada.
“The relentless escalation in the cost of many raw materials used to manufacture our products has eroded margins to unsustainable levels, and we cannot continue to absorb these additional costs,” said Todd Crook, senior marketing manager, North America, Dow Carpet Latex. “In addition to raw materials costs, we are seeing a rapid upswing in transportation charges. We are implementing the price increase on our latex products in order to help offset the rising manufacturing and transportation costs, and remain a strong and reliable supplier.”
All other terms and conditions remain the same.
