The Dow Chemical Company will increase the North American off-list prices of TERGITOL™ Nonylphenol Ethoxylate (NPE) Surfactants and TRITON™ Octylphenol Ethoxylate (OPE) Surfactants effective July 1, 2007. Off-list prices of TERGITOL™ NPE Surfactants will increase by US $0.02 per pound and off-list prices of TRITON™ OPE Surfactants will increase by US $0.05 per pound. These price increases are driven by strong demand and persistently high raw material costs.
Background
Specialty surfactants offer a broad range of performance attributes and are niche oriented. They are typically used when customers require outstanding performance and specific characteristics for their formulations. A customer will often work with a surfactants producer to develop a specific chemistry for end-use applications.
