Effective December 1, 2007 or as contract terms allow, Dow Europe polystyrene prices will increase by 50 Euro per metric ton for all general purpose and high impact STYRON™ polystyrene resins and STYRON™ A-TECH™ advanced technology polystyrene resins.

Demand for polystyrene resins remains firm. In addition, the high energy and feedstock costs (linked to the unprecedented price of oil) are having a major negative impact on Dow’s polystyrene margin. Based on these conditions Dow Europe GmbH is announcing a price increase across the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian regions.
