In a move aligned with its evolving marketing strategy, Amerchol Corporation (“Amerchol”), a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”) announced today that it has authorized Univar USA (“Univar”) to distribute its products throughout the United States. This agreement will be effective as of May 1, 2008.
In a related move, Amerchol has also authorized Callahan Company (“Callahan”) to distribute its products within the East Coast area, including the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Maryland. This agreement will also be effective as of May 1, 2008.
“We are confident that when combined with Amerchol’s portfolio of products and services, Univar’s and Callahan’s experience and relationships in the personal care industry will help to better support our customers’ product development goals,” said Denise Elias-Costrini, global marketing manager for Amerchol.
