Effective April 28, 2008, or as contracts permit, The Dow Chemical Company is increasing prices by US$0.05/lb (dry) for all styrene butadiene (S/B) latex products sold by Dow Emulsion Polymers to customers in the United States and Canada serving the carpet industry.

The price increase is required to help offset the continued rising costs of hydrocarbons and raw materials such as benzene, styrene and butadiene used to manufacture products.
