Effective July 1, 2008, Dow Europe GmbH will increase prices by 150 Euros per metric ton for all grades of its low-density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resins for the Europe, India, Middle East and Africa regions. This is to be implemented over and above the June 1 price increase announcement.

Oil price at its current high level and its subsequent impact on naphtha in local currency terms is eroding our margins. We need to reflect the reality of the current feedstock cost situation in the price of our product in an effort to partly begin restoring our margins in a time when we are experiencing strong demand.
